I´m a journalist graduated by FACHA (Faculdade de Comunicação Hélio Alonso) and I work with photografy and photografic art since 1994, when I finished a course at ABAF (Associação Brasileira de Arte Fotográfica). Through the years, with the aquired knowledge, specially on Esthetics and Sociology, my interest for the visual arts was directed to the ...use of fill light on studios.
Simultaneously to my studio interest I also could flirt with documentary photography, after attenting a workshop held by José Roberto Ripper at the former school of photografy, Foto IN Cena (today Atelier da Imagem), at this time I had the oportunity to perform two important jobs : H Stern, through the image registration of the main tourist attractions of some of the most known capital cities of Brazil such as Natal, Salvador and Rio de Janeiro, and afterwards a job for Revista Promoções e Eventos, registring images of the Festival do Boi at Parintins on the Amazon Forest .
As a photojournalist I have also had the opportunity of working for the City of Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro in the mountain region, covering the entire daily routine of the mayor of that city as well as documenting all the social achievements of his team works and events sponsored by the city in general . The production of model books for models parallel to the work of photojournalism has given me the experience with intimate fashion for some smaller brands of that town and considered an important pole of intimate fashion in Brazil.
In 2004, as a member and partner of hot flashes, I was invited to participate in the collective exhibition of ABAF´s 50th Anniversary held at the Cultural Center of Justice in downtown Rio de Janeiro. For this exhibition I participated with two photographs taken in Cusco, Peru, one of which had been awarded the third prize at the Rock in Rio for a Better World at the time of the third version of that festival in 2001.
I believe that my experiences as a photojournalist and with models provided me with a good understanding of natural and artificial lighting for indoors. For this reason, I believe I can offer a good photographic production for catalogs, brochures, search engines and other purposes of the company.
